Chef Michael Giampa has returned to his roots in Ocean City, New Jersey with OC Eatery. After traveling the world and cooking in some of the best restaurants, Chef Giampa is opening OC Eatery in the very place where he spent his summers as a child.
Originally from Philadelphia, Chef Giampa began cooking as a teenager at the shore and immediately knew he wanted to go to culinary school. Chef Giampa graduated from the New England Culinary Institute, did his apprenticeship at the Mandarin Oriental in Singapore, and returned home to Philadelphia to work for some of the city’s most renowned chefs. After those experiences, he then went on to work for Mirage Resorts.
Chef Giampa has spent the last ten years as a consultant, opening food and beverage concepts for casinos, resorts, hotels, and cruise ships. Chef Giampa now resides in Northfield with his wife and family and is eager to share his food, inspired by his experiences and travels, with the Jersey Shore.
